Getting started
1. Pick a plan and order — your server auto-deploys immediately.
2. Open the control panel; your IP is ready to copy (under the company logo and your server’s name), and the console is live.
3. In the File Manager, open `serverDZ.cfg` to set your server name, password, player count, and 1PP/3PP. Set your map and mission if you’re not using the default Chernarus.
4. Add mods, if desired, then hit start in the console.
5. Share the address and invite your friends.
FAQ
How much RAM does a DayZ server need?
Vanilla runs well on 5 GB. DayZ-Expansion with Community Framework and a trader setup wants 8 GB, and heavy 40+ addon servers or big custom maps are happiest at 10 GB. Your mod list matters more than player count.
Can I run DayZ-Expansion and other Workshop mods?
Yes — add any Steam Workshop mod (Expansion, Community Framework, traders, custom maps) from the panel’s startup parameters. Players need the same mods, which they’ll be prompted to download when they join.
Can I use custom maps like Namalsk or Deer Isle?
Yes. Add the map mod from the Workshop and set it as your mission. Large custom maps use more memory and disk, so we recommend Premium or Supreme for those.
Can I change to first-person-only (1PP)?
Yes — set the third-person toggle in `serverDZ.cfg` to run a hardcore 1PP server or a standard 3PP one.
Can I cancel or change my plan?
You can manage your plan in our store. Log in to your account, and you will see a list of products you have purchased. You can upgrade or downgrade to other DayZ plans. You can also cancel, but we hope you don’t.
