Factorio Server Hosting

The factory must grow — a dedicated Factorio server on high-clock cores that is perfect starting out, and holds UPS deep into a megabase.

High-clock EPYC · SSD · US-based · Full config access

Plans start at $6.99

Pixel Rack’s Factorio server hosting is spec’d for the metric Factorio players actually care about: UPS. Factorio’s simulation is single-threaded and relentless, so per-core clock speed — not RAM — is what keeps a sprawling megabase from dropping below 60 updates per second. Our plans run on high-clock AMD EPYC cores for exactly that, with SSD for fast save handling. Deploy instantly, install mods (Krastorio, Space Exploration, Bob’s/Angel’s) from the panel, and manage your headless save yourself. The factory keeps running 24/7, whether you’re online or not.

Why host Factorio with Pixel Rack

  • High-clock cores for UPS. Factorio is single-threaded — clock speed is everything, and we spec for it.
  • Always-on factory. The base keeps running 24/7 so co-op progress never stalls.
  • Mod Support. Krastorio 2, Space Exploration, Bob’s/Angel’s, and QoL mods from the File Manager in the panel.
  • Headless save management. Upload, download, and swap saves easily.
  • SSD for big saves. Late-game autosaves are large — SSD keeps them quick.
  • Live in minutes with real support. Automatic deployment on order, and a human answers when something breaks.
  • Vanity subdomain on request. Prefer a clean address like `yourserver.pixelracks.com` over a raw IP? Just ask and we’ll set one up.

Getting started

1. Order a plan. Basic is perfectly fine for a friend group launching their first rocket. Premium for a large factory, or Supreme if aiming for a megabase. The server auto-deploys instantly.

2. Open the control panel; your IP and console are ready. You can copy the IP address by clicking on it (it is under the company logo and your server’s name).

3. Install any mods, and match the client side.

4. Upload a save or start a new map and set the server settings.

5. Share the address and invite your friends.

FAQ

What is UPS and why does it matter?

UPS (updates per second) is Factorio’s simulation tick — it should hold at 60. A base too large for the CPU drops UPS, slowing the whole game. High-clock cores keep it at 60 longer.

Can I run overhaul mods like Space Exploration?

Yes — install from the panel. Overhauls are heavier on UPS, so the Supreme tier’s cores give more headroom. Players need the same mods.

Can I upload my existing save?

Yes. Upload your headless save from the panel to continue a solo or LAN game as a persistent server.

How many players can join?

As many as you can find, basically. Player count barely affects performance — the factory’s size does. Our tiers are sized around base complexity, not lobby size.

Can I cancel or change my plan?

You can manage your plan in our store. Log in to your account, and you will see a list of products you have purchased. You can upgrade or downgrade to other Factorio plans. You can also cancel, but we hope you don’t.
